atrijāta

 Atrijāta (अत्रिजात) is a Sanskrit term with dual meanings: it can refer to the moon, said to be produced by the sage Atri, or to a man “not thrice born”, i.e., belonging to one of the first three social classes (dvija).

The word Atrijāta is a compound of Atri (the sage) and jāta (born),

negative prefix: a-tri-jāta, meaning "not born thrice." In traditional 

Hindu society, the term dvija (twice-born) refers to men belonging to

one of the three higher varnas—Brahmins, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas—

who undergo the sacred thread ceremony. Atrijāta therefore can 

describe a man belonging to these classes, emphasizing that he is
