dvijāḥ

 In Sanskrit, "dvijāḥ" literally means "twice-born" and 

commonly refers to individuals who have undergone

spiritual or Vedic initiation, most notably the Brahmins, 

Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas.

The word dvijāḥ (द्विजाः) is derived from two Sanskrit roots:
